Kutte to Kutte Hote Hain !!

Last Sunday, my friend Chandan came to our house for dinner. After having dinner me, my wife and Chandan were walking in the society park and were chatting among ourselves. A middle aged South Indian Auntie was walking in the park with her dog. Her husband was walking beside her. It was a cute puppy of some very good pedigree. Suddenly the puppy broke free from the lady’s hand and started running inside the park. There were lots of people inside. It went from one corner to another. The Auntie started running behind it but the puppy was too fast. It headed straight towards a group of men and jumped on a guy. The guy instead of panicking started to cuddle the puppy. The puppy took all the love eagerly and then broke free and rushed to a different group. There again it was welcomed with lots of pampering. Then it started running towards us but then decided to change course and went to a different group. Seeing the puppy’s friendly behavior, the lady gave up the chase and shouted at it to come back. The puppy ignored the shouts.

Now Chandan never liked pets but seeing this puppy he declared that he would like to have a pet like this. I told him “why don’t you go and ask the uncle about the pedigree. Its really sweet and this kind of dog will suit your personality”. Meanwhile the uncle took charge of the puppy and held the rope tight. The puppy looked sad due to the end of its freedom. Chandan went to the uncle and started chatting with him. The puppy then started jumping upon Chandan. Chandan caressed its forehead. It got encouraged and gave big jump and put its leg inside Chandan’s boxer shorts. Chandan vehemently pushed it downwards to save his balls but the damage was already done. The puppy has scratched his legs big time. Blood was coming out. We rushed towards him. The Dog uncle told Chandan not to worry as the puppy was injected so only a little application of Dettol will be sufficient.

Chandan played down the incident and we all went straight home. After putting Dettol he declared that one should never go to a dog wearing half pants otherwise who knows, one’s balls might get ripped off. Besides, no use cuddling and pampering these dogs because at the end of the day “Kutte to Kutte hote hain “ (At the end of the day a dog is a dog).
